“Moving from
Volume to Value” In a fitting yet bittersweet tribute we celebrated Scottsdale Institute’s 20th
Anniversary at our annual spring conference while fondly remembering SI Founder Stan
Nelson, who passed away last August. A record turnout of 150 attendees from SI member
organizations and sponsors gathered at the serenely beautiful Camelback Inn to help health
systems address the seismic changes involved in moving from a volume-based, fee-for-service
model to one based on value, accountable care and population health.
