Software Quality – A New Reality

Kent Gale, President KLAS Enterprises, LLC, and Tim Zoph, CIO Northwestern Memorial Hospital, present 2007 Software Quality results from a recent survey of 100 CIOs and 40 healthcare HIT industry vendors. This is an update and comparison to the 2005 survey. In this period of rapid adoption and transition to advanced electronic health records systems, early use appears to have created a new reality. The ease of use, uptime reliability, interoperability, security and maintenance costs are essential elements that are desired by all respondents to be delivered to high SQ standards.
