ICD-10: Preparing for the Healthcare Y2K

With the ICD-10 deadline two years away and more immediate Meaningful Use and HIPAA 5010 deadlines approaching, many healthcare providers are still in the early preparation stages for the pending coding changes. Graham shares recent research from providers about their plans for the coding changes that are mandated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to begin October 2013. Findings include the steps providers are taking to prepare, the top concerns providers are facing, how providers are addressing those concerns, the outside help providers are seeking, the vendors that providers feel will be ready for the change, and overall perceptions about ICD-10.
