With the ever expanding use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions in the healthcare environment, there is a vast opportunity for improving and potentially solving common healthcare workflow issues. However, it is imperative to understand the impact that these solutions have on the overall care of the patient and the clinical workflows. By carefully looking at clinical data within the EHR, it is possible to tell the “story” about this impact. This session is an overview of the data methodology and the tools used at Memorial Hermann to collect and understand the clinical data so as to identify and solve common issues within the healthcare environment and evaluate the impact of the solution.
