WEBINAR | Payer and Provider Data Interoperability via the Epic Payer Platform

Spencer Collins, AVP of Application Services, NorthShore University Health System (“NorthShore”).  As part of NorthShore’s continued effort to drive operational efficiencies, the Epic Payer Platform was identified as a turnkey interoperability solution linking payer and provider data via a clinical data exchange.  The prevalence of “manual” data-sharing activities between payers and providers is clearly representative of a legacy process of organizational interactions ripe for retooling.  Moreover, there are significant opportunities that can be realized by developing a cooperative partnership between payers and providers in the realm of HEDIS measure calculation, prescription benefits, prior authorization, etc.  Spencer presents the considerations for build and deployment as well as some successes, “lessons learned” and ongoing strategy.
