As the chief operating officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ), Paige oversees Information Technology as well as the P&L performance for all business segments including Individual, Medicare & Federal Employees, Commercial, and our newest segment, Medicaid. Since her arrival in 2018, BCBSAZ has seen 11% organic membership growth while delivering consistent operating gain margin. Paige is responsible for igniting new business opportunities, while transforming technologies to keep pace with customer and consumer expectations. In her unwavering commitment to serve our customers and our Arizona community, Paige is helping to drive the company’s mission to provide the best value in health insurance and to improve quality of life for all Arizonans.
Paige joined BCBSAZ in 2018 from Anthem Inc., where she served for more than 30 years. In her role as vice president and general manager, she led the California Large Group segment including sales, underwriting, marketing, and account management serving more than 3.4 million members. As a result of the strategic growth initiatives Paige championed, she nearly doubled the financial value of the California group business in three years. Paige began her career in 1987 with Blue Cross of California. Beginning in IT, she advanced through the ranks of finance, operations, and sales, and eventually transitioned to key account executive and leadership roles.
Continuing to build on her established reputation as a change driver and strong customer relationship builder, Paige is an industry leader, delivering on her promise to develop and implement innovative solutions that are driving growth, account retention, and financial performance. In addition to her role as chief operating officer, Paige chairs the subsidiary board for Blue Advantage, our Medicare subsidiary and Health Choice of Arizona, our Medicaid subsidiary. She also serves on the board of directors of Trinnovate Ventures, a BCBSAZ healthcare venture capital firm, the Phoenix Art Museum, and actively supports
many charitable organizations.
