Scottsdale Institute’s Annual Fall Forum, “Connected Care and Connected Communities,” held Oct. 29-30, 2015 at Seton Healthcare Family/Ascension Health in Austin, Texas, might have been subtitled “A Tale of Convergence,” as providers and payers increasingly converge in the shift to value-based care. Of course, the move to risk-based contracts involves a convergence of many factors including population health, coordinated care, mobile technology, retail health and the continual evolution of patient and consumer engagement.
