Cincinnati Children’s Clinical Research Data Warehouse (I2B2)

Keith Marsolo, Director of Research Data Warehouse and Instructor of Pediatrics, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has implemented a research data warehouse using the i2b2 framework (https://www.i2b2.org). By merging disparate sources of clinical and research data and providing a set of web-based mining and analysis tools, this project will foster collaboration and further translational research. Dr. Marsolo discusses the rationale behind the selection of i2b2, the challenges faced during implementation, as well as current and future plans for the development of associated analysis tools.
