Elite Analytics Status at Rush

Bala Hota, MD, VP & Chief Analytics Officer, Rush University Medical Center.  Rush University System for Health achieved the 2018 HIMSS Adoption Model for Analytics Maturity Stage 7, demonstrating an elite status in the use of healthcare data to improve operations.  This achievement was only possible through a strong data governance program and alignment with organizational goals.  Dr. Hota describes the steps in the development of Rush’s Analytics program, how analytics have helped Rush with its community focus, and what key organizational changes helped achieve this status.
