Implications of Tri-Institutional Clinical and Research Data Sharing at NewYork-Presbyterian

Trushna Dave, Manager of Data Sharing at NewYork-Presbyterian and affiliated medical schools, Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center. In the past several years there has been an increase in the number of healthcare organizations joining forces to provide integrated and standardized clinical care along the continuum. As a result, the demand for access to data has increased to support clinical, operational and research initiatives. Based on her experience with managing a novel data sharing process and platform, Trushna discusses her perspective on the benefits, challenges and recommendations to enhance access to data.
