Knowledge Management: A Collaboration Among SI Members

Shelli Williamson, Executive Director, SI, and Janet Guptill, President, KM at Work, will describe a collaborative project to support your KM initiatives, specifically designed for healthcare provider organizations.  The project is based on feedback from SI members and will be an optional program for those who choose to subscribe.  In Phase I, the collaboration will create an inventory and comparison of structures, approaches, process measures, and tools used in enterprise KM initiatives as well as facilitated discussions on the relative progress, lessons learned and success factors among the participating organizations.  Phase II will be designed to share and compare the actual results of knowledge transfer.  Successful practices will be identified throughout, and discussed in detail by the organizations owning them.  Additional steps could include comparing specific Clinical Decision Support initiatives and/or document and tool sharing.  Attend the conference call to determine if your organization would like to participate in Phase I.
