More than a PMO: Solution Value Office at Northwestern Medicine

Bob Gleason, Director, Solution Value Office, Northwestern Medicine.  How does the IS organization in a large (and rapidly growing) academic health system deliver value to the enterprise, and do so at “the speed of the business?” Northwestern Medicine Information Services (NMIS) has put in place processes managed by the Solution Value Office (SVO) to increase focus on high-value projects, and more efficiently address operational requests and changes. From a robust customer-facing Alignment organization, through the project intake and planning processes, to quality delivery and value realization, NMIS is committed to delivering value in a scalable, transparent and efficient manner. During this presentation we describe the interaction between the Align team, project intake, project management, apps and ops teams, IT training and organizational change management to meet the needs of our growing System.
