ONC Talks About What is Next for TEFCA

Zoe Barber, MPH, Special Assistant, Principal Deputy National Coordinator for Health IT, ONC.  The 21st Century Cures Act directs ONC to develop or support a trusted exchange framework and common agreement to address policies and practices between health information networks nationally. On January 5, ONC released a draft Trusted Exchange Framework (TEF) for public comment. In this teleconference, Zoe reviews the policies included in the draft TEF, public comments received, and ONC’s vision for advancing nationwide interoperability and supporting the goals of the Cures Act.
