Quality Measures for Stage 1 of Meaningful Use: The Data Capture Challenge

The devil is truly in the details when it comes to the quality reporting requirements of HITECH meaningful use. In order to gain some insight into one challenging aspect of the requirement – data capture – CSC has deconstructed both the hospital and eligible professional quality measures for Stage 1 into the unique data elements. Based on that analysis, they review the similarities and differences between the data capture challenges for these two sets of measures.
