SI 2016 CMIO/CHIO Summit

“Managing Clinical Decision Support and Improving Workflow”

The Scottsdale Institute and Deloitte co-sponsored a Summit of Chief Medical Information Officers (CMIOs) and Chief Health Information Officers (CHIOs) from prominent healthcare systems across the country in Chicago on September 30, 2016 to share best practices and lessons learned regarding clinical decision support (CDS) and improving clinical workflow.

Twenty CMIOs and CHIOs participated in a lively discussion covering results of a pre-summit survey on the maturity of CDS processes within health systems, challenges, lessons learned, emerging trends and future visions including the changing CMIO/CHIO role and the impact of MACRA and bundled payments.
