Lowell Kruse, retired CEO, Heartland Health, 2009 Baldrige Award recipient and Baldrige Foundation Board member, and one of the founding Board Members of the Scottsdale Institute, and Al Faber, President and CEO, Baldrige Foundation. Leveraging the highly successful NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Baldrige Framework concepts, the new Cybersecurity Excellence Builder will be a tool which helps organizations improve their cybersecurity risk management and learn from best practices throughout the country. Lowell and Al discuss the goals of this tool, which are to: 1) help organizations understand and improve the robustness and effectiveness of their cybersecurity programs and practices; 2) internally gauge how cybersecurity efforts align to organizational strategy; and 3) emphasize the tracking and use of performance metrics to drive decision making.
