Dr. Rojas currently is a Coggeshall Instructor of Medicine in the Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care. His current research is aimed at understanding and preventing ICU readmissions. Specifically, he hopes to apply novel machine learning methods to electronic health record data to identify patients at the highest risk of preventable ICU readmissions. In addition, he is a board-certified clinical informaticist and serves as the medical director of the Analytic Interventions Unit (AIU), which works to identify key clinical applications of predictive analytics and support the development, deployment, and evaluation of such initiatives at UChicago Medicine.
