Angela’s background reflects a successful 18 years of experience in Nursing and Leadership that include inpatient Surgical, Orthopedic, Telemetry Services and outpatient Urgent care, Primary care and Surgical same day clinic services. Member of the UMKC IRB in 2010-2011 and the University of Mary’s academic advisory board in 2011-2012. Awarded the Truman Medical Center’s 2010 emerging leader award for nursing excellence.
Prior to rejoining TMC in 2015, Angela was a community based Service Leader for Mosaic Life Care, opening 6 outpatient clinic settings in the Kansas City area. Responsible for clinical, operational and financial leadership. Overseeing the design and development of new health and wellness Life Coach Roles and Life Care programs. Member of the Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce representing Mosaic Life Care community.
In her current role, Angela is accountable for nursing practice and operations over the Telemetry inpatient services that include a 56 bed Stepdown Down department, 24 FTE Float Pool, Discharge Lounge, Centralized Monitoring station supporting multi-campus inpatient Telemetry and virtual patient observation.
Utilizing Lean Six Sigma, Angela invests her Leadership in facilitating collaboration between interdisciplinary clinical roles for process improvement and Fall HIIN initiatives demonstrating successful data driven outcomes. On a daily basis, Angela is dedicated to creating high quality compassionate care, streamlining clinical practice through innovative process improvement and developing the next generation of nurses.
