Bob Hussey
Bob Hussey has more than 25 years of experience in business and government affairs in both the public and private sectors. For the past 15 years, he has worked as an independent consultant specializing in health policy, advising clients in the health care sector on public policy issues impacting their business and helping them navigate the regulatory and legislative process. Current and past projects include education and advocacy on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Medicare’s new value-based reimbursement programs, HITECH (Meaningful Use and CEHRT), Medicare reimbursement for Advanced Care Planning, MACRA, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, FDA regulation of digital health and the 21 st Century Cures Act.
From 1997 through 2004, Bob worked at UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) where he held several leadership positions in the company’s Medicare and Medicaid businesses. Bob served as a political appointee at the U.S. Department of Justice from 1993-1997 and worked on the 1992 Clinton-Gore Presidential campaign. Bob received his law degree from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., and graduated cum laude with a degree in History from Boston College.
