Diane Humbrecht has been a nurse for 30+ years. In 2005, Diane was charged with implementing an evidence based, interprofessional EHR. Leading these efforts, Diane pulled together an interprofessional team. Over 2 years, she developed teams and engaged them in learning different disciplines scope of practice and utilized evidence based clinical practice guidelines to understand each disciplines role in caring for patients. Currently as the CNIO of Virginia Mason, she is responsible to combine both strategic and operational functions to support the mission of VM by leveraging the use of technology in practice.   Diane received her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania (UOP) and DNP from Vanderbilt University.  Diane is Past President of ANIA and holds a faculty position at the University of Pennsylvania.
