Ellen has worked at UCLA Health for over 20 years and developed the Nursing Informatics program over 18 years ago. She has significant experience implementing and optimizing clinical systems. Ellen served as the Deployment Director for UCLA’s EHR program, which was implemented in March of 2013. Her current areas of responsibility include Nursing Informatics, Informatics Training, mobile application development, and the EHR help desk. She is also responsible for the clinical optimization program and our patient engagement initiatives.

Ellen is the chair of UCLA’s Patient Focused Technology Council which helps to ensure we get patient input into our technology initiatives. Ellen currently serves as the President of the Southern California chapter of the American Nursing Informatics Association.
