Emeka C. Anyanwu, MD

Dr. Anyanwu is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine and a member of the Consultative Cardiology Section within the Division of Cardiology. Dr. Anyanwu also serves as a Clinical Innovation Manager within the Penn Medicine Center for Healthcare Innovation.
Dr. Anyanwu spends his clinical time caring for general cardiology patients in clinic as well as on inpatient wards at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Anyanwu also has a strong interest in the potential for clinical informatics and digital technologies to improve the efficiency of patient care, clinical communication, and medical research and education. To this end he combines his medical expertise with his software development experience to design, evaluate, and scale digital solutions to common pain points for patients and clinicians.
Dr. Anyanwu received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency and a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Chicago Medical Center. During his cardiology fellowship training Dr. Anyanwu also earned a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Chicago.
