Helen Lu is a Family Nurse Practitioner Medical Informaticist with John Muir Health. She holds Epic build certifications and is co-chair of Documentation Workgroup, Referrals Workgroup, Operational Reporting Workgroup and is co-lead of the Data, Analytics, Informatics, Reporting subcommittee part of the Cultural Understanding Advisory Committee. She is also responsible for ongoing Epic training and optimization at John Muir Health. Helen’s accomplishments include implementing the Provider/Practice Efficiency program, Epic refill protocols, and encouraging cross-team collaboration to achieve organization common goals. Helen graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing where she was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and has a second Bachelor’s in Clinical Nutrition from the University of California, Davis. She resides in the San Francisco Bay Area in California and is co-owns MidiCi, a Neapolitan pizza restaurant in Sacramento. She enjoys cooking, skiing, and spending time with her 2 rescue dogs, a husky mix and an Alaskan Malamute.
