Jeanne Roode RN, DNP, NEA-BC

Senior Director, Clinical Informatics, Spectrum Health

Dr. Jeanne Roode is the senior director, clinical informatics for Spectrum Health, a $6 billion not-for-profit integrated health system based in Michigan.  She has responsibility for nursing and allied health informatics and electronic health record training.

 

Background

Jeanne has more than 30 years of experience in health care administration, including medical-surgical inpatient care, neuroscience services, emergency and trauma services, and surgical services. Jeanne was responsible for clinical and operational readiness in evolving the health system model of care, which places the patient at the center of an integrated delivery system that is functioning on a single standardized electronic health record.

Jeanne earned a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) degree from Rush University, Chicago, Illinois with a focus on health systems leadership; a master’s degree in nursing administration from Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids, Michigan; and a bachelors in nursing degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

She holds certification as a Board-Certified Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

 

Affiliations 

Jeanne holds a lecturer position with the University of Michigan- Flint School of Nursing teaching Nursing Informatics in the RN to BSN program.

She is the current chair of the Advisory Board for the Wesorick Center for Health Care Transformation at Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She is a past president of the Kappa Epsilon- at- Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, Nursing Honor Society.
