Lori Dunivan is Vice President, Regional Nursing Informatics Officer (rNIO) at Northern Light Health (NLH) in Brewer, Maine. Her responsibilities include strategic oversight for clinical informatics at Mercy Hospital , an acute care, non-profit hospital, sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, Inland Hospital, a 48-bed hospital founded by group of osteopathic physicians, Sebasticook Valley Hospital and CA Dean Hospital, two of Northern Light Health’s Critical Access hospitals and Acadia Hospital, NLH’s free-standing psychiatric hospital. Lori also provides executive oversight for the implementation of new EHR tools and solutions across the system. Ensuring adoption and performance of best practice workflows following the implementation of new technology is a top priority for Lori and her fellow Regional NIOs as they recognize the importance of increasing time at the bedside to improve patient outcomes. Lori has a passionate for cultural transformation, large-scale change management, promoting positive patient outcomes.
Lori has a twenty-nine year career within HLH, with her clinical experience as a pediatric/pediatric intensive care nurse at Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC). Since leaving the bedside she served as EMMC’s nurse recruiter, has project management experience implementing clinical informatics solutions, was an internal senior consultant leading large scale change management projects and led clinical and non-clinical education at Acadia Hospital. She received her bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Maine, her master’s in organizational development from Capella University and completed her Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University.
