Mark Ropiecki
Mr. Ropiecki was appointed to the role of Executive Director of the Care Compass Network (CCN) in June 2016 and leads the local Delivery System Reform Incentive Program (DSRIP) efforts of the Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) in the Southern Tier of New York. Since early 2015, Mr. Ropiecki had led the Care Compass Network Project Management Office and organizational development, collaborating with community-based leadership to develop the healthcare reform implementation plans as well as the associated staffing, operating, and funding models for the network. During this time, he has overseen the development of the New York State Department of Health regulatory compliance and reporting processes, helped secure over $100M DSRIP funding for the region, and directed the creation of various infrastructure and innovation-based programs to the benefit of the Medicaid Members and advancement of value based health care models across a nine-county area in New York representing 1/8th of the geography of New York. Collective efforts of CCN programs have resulted in improved potentially preventable readmissions, ED visits, and various quality indicators.
Prior to CCN, Mr. Ropiecki was a member of the Deloitte & Touche Healthcare Advisory practice where he spent over 8 years’ providing transformation services to hospitals and health systems across the east coast and was responsible for managing business risk, enterprise risk, and internal audit services. He has extensive knowledge and experience with points of transition in hospital workflows, operations, revenue cycle, administration, compliance, and governance. Mr. Ropiecki received a Bachelor’s degree in Cellular/Molecular Biology from Binghamton University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
