Mike Olgren, MD serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He spent the first twenty years of his career in emergency medicine, the last seven of those as medical director. Always a technology geek, when the opportunity arose to move into informatics, he took the plunge. In addition to supporting their hospital staff, he assisted with development of technologic solutions across their parent national health system (Trinity Health). He has a master’s degree in medical informatics, and is board certified in clinical informatics and emergency medicine.
