Dr. Naqi Khan, MD, MS, FAMIA currently serves as the Global Physician Leader for AI & Machine Learning at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Previously, he was the Principal Program Lead for Health AI at Microsoft Health & Life Sciences, where he launched real-world evidence and biomedical natural language processing platforms. Prior to Microsoft, Dr. Khan led clinical AI projects at Kaiser Permanente (KP) Southern California, playing a key role in developing KP’s machine learning strategy for virtualized care and clinical charting. Earlier in his career, he directed company-wide interoperability product development at MCG Health, part of Hearst Health. Dr. Khan completed his Emergency Medicine residency at New York Methodist, holds an M.D. from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, an M.S. in Biomedical Informatics from Vanderbilt University, and a B.S. in Biology and Information Science from Cornell University. He is also a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association.
