Todd is an innovator and entrepreneur. He has focused on innovation for more than 10 years. He has worked for notable organizations such as Cisco, Siemens, McKesson, GE Intermountain Healthcare and Advocate Health. While at GE, Todd was part of the early team chosen to shape GE’s global innovation effort that eventually became known as GE Fast Works. He has educated hundreds of teams in the practical application of innovation theory, methods and tools to improve innovation outcomes and impact for consumers and companies alike. Todd was recently awarded Modern Healthcare 2023 Top Innovator award.

His work and viewpoints have been featured in Fortune magazine, US News and World Report, Becker’s Hospital Review, Information Week, Healthcare IT News, the Steve Blank Entrepreneur blog, Modern Healthcare, Charlotte Business Journal and through keynote addresses. His work is highlighted in Clayton Christensen’s book, Competing Against Luck. Todd has been an avid student and passionate practitioner of the Jobs to Be Done theory and other leading innovation theory for years.

Todd was also chosen to be a certified Strategyzer Business Model Innovation Consultant by Alex Osterwalder. Todd was a reviewer and editor of Alex’s 2nd book: Value Proposition Design. He has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Utah, where he teaches as part of the Lean Startup I-Corp team.

Todd grew up in Southern Georgia and loves the South. He is married to Wendie, and they have three kids: Oliver, Emma and Ross. Oliver plays baseball in the Milwaukee Brewers organization, Emma is in med school at USF, and Ross plays baseball in the Minnesota Twins organization. Todd received his undergraduate degree in marketing from the University of Utah and his MBA from Michigan State University.
